
Marvel Entertainment Limited Liability Company, is an American entertainment company, based in New York City, and was established in December2nd1986. Marvel Entertainment was created from a merger between ToyBiz and Marvel Entertainment Group Inc.
It was sold to New World Entertainment but on the 6th of January, 1989, Forbes holdings & MacAndrews bought Marvel Entertainment Group from New World Ent. for $82.5 million.
In the early ’90s Marvel Entertainment Group began broadening by forming new divisions and buying other companies, Marvel bought Fleer Trading on July 24th, 1992 and in 1993 bought 46% shares of Toybiz, giving the company the rights to produce Marvel characters and toys.
Marvel Group filed for bankruptcy in December 1996 and in 1997 Toybiz agreed to buy Marvel from the banks. In June 1998, Marvel Entertainment Group and Toybizwere merged to make Marvel Enterprise in a bid to bring it out of bankruptcy.
Marvel was split into four major units, Licensing, Publishing, Toy Biz, and Marvel Studios.
In 2003, Marvel made an offer for Artisan Entertainment, a new unit Marvel International was established in London, with Bruno Maglione, a strategic move made to broaden the company’s operation and create a worldwide presence.
In 2005, Marvel Enterprises was changed to Marvel Entertainment, and on August 31st, 2009, Walt Disney Company announced the deal to buy Marvel Entertainment for $4.24 billion, after the merger was approved Disney overtook full control of Marvel Entertainment.

Isaac Perlmutter
Isaac Ike Perlmutter, born 1st of December, 1942, is an Israeli-American businessman and financier. He is the former CEO and current chairman of Marvel Entertainment; he also owns Marvel Toys and Remington Products.
Perlmutter was a member and chairman of the Marvel Comics Board of Directors in April 1993 and stepped down in 1995. He became vice-chairman of Marvel on 30th November 2001 and CEO of Marvel Comics in 2005.
After Disney acquired Marvel, he still remained the CEO of Marvel Entertainment and he received $590 Million in stock and $800 Million in cash when the company was handed over.
