Jaguar is a luxurious vehicle brand of the Jaguar Land Rover, a British conglomerate car manufacturer with its headquarters located in Whitley, Coventry, England.

Jaguar Cars were the company in charge of the production of Jaguar cars until the 1st of January 2013 when its operations were merged entirely with those of Land Rover to make the sub-brand called Jaguar Land Rover.

Founded in 1922 by William Walmsley and William Lyons, Jaguar started as the Swallow Sidecar Company, where they originally made motorcycle sidecars before advancing into making bodies for passenger cars.

S.S Cars Limited extended to making complete cars after establishing a partnership with Standard Motor Co, and the company then rebranded and changed its name to Jaguar Cars in 1945. In 1966 Jaguar had a merger with British Motor Corporation and was nationalised in 1975.

Ford bought Jaguar Cars in 1990 and had ownership till 2008 before selling it to TATA Motors.

TATA Motors created Jaguar Land Rover as a supplementary holding company, and in 2013 Jaguar Cars was merged with Land Rover making it Jaguar Land Rover Limited. It became a Single design, sales and manufacturing company for both Land Rover and Jaguar vehicles.

Previously known as TATA Engineering and Locomotive Company, TATA is an Indian multinational vehicular manufacturing company with headquarters in Maharashtra, Mumbai, India.

Aside from its automotive operations, TATA Motors Limited has an All Other Operations Segment that mainly deals with Information Technology (IT) services, Machine Tools and Factory Automation Services. TATA Motors operates in thousands of offices around 160 countries in the world.

Cyrus Pallonji Mistry is a businessman from Ireland who became the owner of TATA Group on 28th December 2012. He is the 6thchairman of the group and the 2ndnot to be named Tata.He has been described by The Economist as the most important industrialist in both India and Great Britain.

Cyrus Pallonji is the youngest son of Indian construction magnate Pallonji Mistry.

He studied at the Cathedral & John Connon School in Mumbai, India. He graduated from the imperial college, London with a BEng in civil engineering and holds a Master of Science in management from the London Business School. He is a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers.

Mistry’s grandfather first bought shares in TATA Group in the 1930s, a stake that stood at over 25% back then, he was the largest single shareholder.

He has an elder brother, Shapoor Mistry, who is married to behroze Sethna, the daughter of famous Indian lawyer, Rusi Sethna. He also has two sisters (Laila and Aloo), Aloo is married to Noel Tata, the half-brother of Ratan Tata.

Cyrus Pallonji Mistry is married and has two sons.

Although his father is an Indian, Mistry considers himself to be of Irish nationality because his mother is Irish.

He is the chairman of all TATA companies including TATA industries, TATA Steels, TATA Motors, TATA Consultancy, TATA Services, TATA Power, TATA Teleservices, Indian Hotels, TATA Chemicals, and TATA Beverages.

Cyrus Pallonji has an estimated net worth of $10 billion.
