The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) which was created in February 1998 has the vision of eradicating road traffic crashes and creating safe motoring environment in Nigeria.
They also have it as their responsibility to prevent or minimize accidents on highway; clearing obstruction on any part of highway; educating motorists; giving prompt attention and care to victims of accident; designing and producing vehicle number plates and lots more.
This post is particularly about their responsibility of designing and producing vehicle number plate.
The agency has given out their list of approved centers for number plate. This is for the 36 states and capital in the country.
While some states have just one location, Lagos has 47 locations. This makes Lagos the state with most number of locations. Edo has 9; Ekiti, 6;Bayelsa 5; Rivers,3.
