David Vlok is a South African actor and former athlete who acted in numerous films and is best known for his role as Tim Voster in the South African tele-soap Egoli: Place of Gold.
His character was killed off in the 11 November, 2004 episode.
Born in Jagersfontein, Free State, Vlok attended school in Ermelo. After undergoing his military training, he then studied at Rand Afrikaans University (RAU). He also completed a higher technical diploma in Electronic Instrument Engineering.
He entered the movie business as a fight co-ordinator, and then worked as a stuntman in international pictures.
He acted in action films including Reason To Die (1989), Red Scorpion (1989), American Ninja (uncredited) and Jackie Chan’s Who Am I?
He has also appeared in numerous television commercials.
He learned how to tap dance for the musical Stepping Out in July 2006, at Pieter Toerien’s Montecasino Theatre in Johannesburg.
He is married to attorney Anna Kordas.
