Just Amid all the hoopla surrounding the luxury SUV vehicle popular singer, David Adeleke aka Davido bought for his girlfriend Chioma Avril Roland, different figures have been bandied about concerning the value of the Porsche.

Some news sources put the value of the car at N45 million, this is nowhere near the case, as the car is clearly a tokunbo vehicle. Even brand new Cayennes can be obtained for less than N45 million.

According to research conducted by auto aficionado’s, the truck is a 2011 model which retails from about ($25,000) N10 million, exclusive of customs and other charges. The total value of the vehicle is usually less than N20 million.  However the trim Davido purchased seems to be full options probably bringing the total value of the car to about N20 million.

This is still a large sum of money but nowhere near the N45 million that would be spent to obtain a newer model of the vehicle.

Even the 2018 model starts retailing from about $65000 (N24 million) and certainly to get it to Nigeria will still be less than N40 million, depending on how ambitious the car dealer is.

Still that doesnt take away from the fact that Davido has certainly splurged on the love of his life. Its just not as big a spluge as certain media elements have hyped it to be.

Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg announced on Tuesday that the world’s largest social network will soon include a new dating feature vowing to make privacy protection its top priority in the wake of the Cambridge Analytica scandal.

Zuckerberg unveiled the plans as he addressed Facebook’s annual developers conference in San Jose, California emphasizing that the focus would be on helping people find long-term partners. “This is going to be for building real, long-term relationships, not just hook-ups”.

He said in presenting the new feature, noting that one in three marriages in the United States start online and that some 200 million Facebook users identify as being single. Under the new feature, users will be able to create a separate “dating” profile not visible to their network of friends, with potential matches recommended based on dating preferences, points in common, and mutual acquaintances.

Zuckerberg did not specify whether the feature would be free of charge, in line with Facebook’s core offer but the announcement was enough to send shares in the online dating giant Match.com tumbling by 17 percent. The 33-year-old CEO also said the dating offer was built from the ground-up with privacy and safety in mind, as he underscored the firm’s commitment to boosting privacy protections.

Ex BBNaija housemate, Alex has revealed that she is not friends with fellow ex-housemate, CeeC. She made this known in an interview with TVC.

So I found out that @amcchannels has been showing my movie The goodwife since last year, Note I never sold the movie to them, I reached out to them and they apologised and cc’d the person that licensed it to them in the email, urging him to go sort me, His name is Emmanuel Federick I ve never met this guy before and how he got my movie is still a mistery, I didn’t want plenty issue so I just asked him to pay me what he was paid and delete my movie.he kept dribbling me till I got tired and done with him and decided to face the station illegally playing my movie, This is almost 1year now and I ran out of patient, I reached out to them letting them know this guy hasn’t gotten across to me, and that I might be forced to take the action up legally as a lot of people advised and openly write them on social media since they v chosen to ignore me and then I got a mail this morning from them saying They would sue me if I publicly call them out.

A group of girls are currently trending on social media for their unique style of rocking their NYSC uniforms.

The mandatory one year service imposed by NYSC has either helped people learn new things or meet new people.

While some hate the idea of the stress and rigorous activities that comes with it, others however are making do with the time.

One of such is these group of beautiful ladies who have taken it upon themselves to redesign their NYSC khaki uniforms.

What was designed in the likeness of a soldier’s uniform was completely chopped off and revamped into bum shorts. An Instagram page dedicated to NYSC photos shared the pictures of the girls dressed in their crested shirts, neatly tucked in the khaki bum shorts with their jungle boots.

Housemate of the now-concluded Big Brother Naija 2018, Dee-One has slammed fellow housemate in the just concluded “Double Wahala” edition, Tobi, stating that Tobi deserved all the insults he got from Cee-c.

Cee-C and Tobi enjoyed some good times as strategic partners which later developed into romance. The two however became estranged while in the show. Just few days to the end of the show,  Cee-C insulted Tobi for over an hour.

Speaking on TVC yesterday, Dee-One, who was among the first set of housemates to be evicted from the show, said Tobi deserved what he got because he first tormented Cee-C.

He said Tobi “deserves it because he was even the one tormenting Cee-C. Yeah, he did. Tobi knew what he was doing. He started the whole story and the journey as if he was in love and needed something serious with her. He knew what he was doing.”

Dee-One added, “He [Tobi] was even the one that went to Big Brother and told him that my jokes are insensitive. But he’ll come out pretending as everything was normal.”

Big Brother Naija 2018 host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has revealed how housemates were chosen on the just concluded reality show.

Ebuka in an Interview with BeatFM said housemates were picked based on their different characters.

He said contrary to rumours that Tobi was picked because he worked with Heritage bank, the sponsors of the reality show were not part of the auditions and they could not have chosen housemates.

Ebuka said, ”housemates were picked for different reasons. Khloe for example was picked for drama, Vandora was a happy girl.

”It is not all about talent, you never know what they are looking for in the audition.

”There will be a drama person, a happy person, housemates’ characters are mixed.
”So, if for example 2 dramatic persons have been picked already, they will move to the next character.

”They have a template of what they want from housemates, it depends on them.

“The auditioners also realized that some housemates try so hard to be someone else in the house; maybe they got intimated by other characters or they tried so hard to be what they are not in the audition.”

Ebuka, however, advised prospective housemates for 2019 to be themselves.

The result of the 2019 election is still very much between Buhari and Atiku. Sowore, Durotoye and Ahmed Buhari shouldn’t give up. They can keep warming up. Buhari has 65% chances than other candidates.

APC and PDP combined together have over 6 million partisan members across the country in their respective LGAs, wards and units. A new party cannot wake up and build such formidable structure. If just APC and PDP members vote without other neutral voters, they without campaign have acquired millions of vote already.

Now the question. Was APC not new party? APC was never a new party. Since 1999, almost all Nigerian politicians were PDP members, ANPP,  CPC, AD e.t.c all tried their best with competent candidates but the PDP’s grassroots structure couldn’t me matched. To get APC and defeat PDP, they had to combine the structure of all existing parties and steal from PDP. They won the heart of PDP’s aggrieved and ambitious members and APC was formed.

A presidential material needs a party with a firm grassroots structure. As a PDP member and a youth, you can’t just come from nowhere and convince me for Sowore and the likes. There are millions of people like myself all over the country. I shouldn’t go into the politics of regions. To break the northern population and votes, you need a northerner. Those northerners don’t vote because you are capable or not. Loyalty flows in their veins. At the moment, they have acquired more PVCs than we have and they have even registered underage kids all to remain in power.

Fela Durotoye can’t even win in Lagos. He has been there doing “God told me” when other candidates are permutating. Do you expect Ahmed Buhari to win his state or Sowore?

Now these three will combine effot and ruin the efforts of the youths who are angry with Buhari. Vote of the youths will be divided. The popularity you need as a Nigeria presidential candidate isn’t that of a public speaker. How many public speaker-presidents has Nigeria produced? It took a 3-time presidential candidate to unsear PDP with the slimmest margin since Nigeria’s democracy. If you are tired of Buhari, Atiku may be our only option. Personally, I see no big difference between the two of them.

Nigeria needs only a kind of leader at this crucial moment. A strong body in a strong mind. A man with the heart of Jesus Christ and the Devil at the same time with both tides striking a balance. We don’t necessarily need a good man. At the moment, such a person is unavailable. When the best is not available, the available becomes the best.

Let me add this, do you know Ben Carson wanted to be U.S president as a member of the Republican Party? The much popular Ben Carson! The then ‘useless’ Donald Trump was chosen ahead of him. Trump was stupid but controversial enough. He was rich enough to fund his campaign.

Money+popularity+formidable party.

In conclusion, Buhari and Atiku are our only option. Choose your better devil or Buhari wins again!

Big Brother Naija reality TV show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has opened up on the reported relationship with Big Brother Naija 2018 first runner-up housemate, Cee-C.

While the show was going on, reports emerged that Cee-C was dating Ebuka before entering the show.

Cee-C had also, in one of her chats with fellow housemates, stated that she met the show host before entering Big Brother house.

But in an interview with Beat FM earlier today, Ebuka denied meeting the ex-housemate before.He said that Cee-C said so many things that she could not even defend.

According to him, “She said something in the house that got mixed interpreted. She said she drove to my house and we had a conversation that made me put her into the reality show.

“Apparently she came to market something to me, in some event, I mean, I attend so many event in Lagos. I’m not supposed to remember everybody.

“Apparently, this happened at Terraculture, nothing about this came to my mind until I heard what she said during the show.

“To the best of my knowledge, the first time I met Cee-C was when I spoke to her on stage during the show.

“The reason I didn’t debunk it was because I wanted it to die naturally. It was a very stupid rumour and I didn’t want to give life.

“I think she has crush on me. But I don’t know what else she has on her head. I’ve never spoken to her except while in the house when I was doing my job.”

Prominent Kannywood actress Hauwa Maina, who died in Kano on Wednesday will be buried in Kaduna today, according to Islamic rites.

She was aged 48. And she is survived by two children.

Maina’s parents came from Biu in Borno State, but she was born and  raised in Kaduna.

She had her primary education  in Kaduna and Geidam, Yobe State. She completed her secondary education in Nguru, also in Yobe State. She had  a National Diploma in Management from Kaduna State Polytechnic

She began her acting career in 1998 and featured  in more than one  hundred movies including Nollywood soap operas.  One of her famous roles was as Queen Amina of Zazzau.

She was trained as a movie director in the US some years ago.

As an actress  she  won many awards including best actress SIM awards 2010, best Afro-Nollywood Award, London (2007).

The industry had been shaken since the news of her death broke on Wednesday night, with many tributes from Kannywood stars on the social media.

Hauwa Maina made her screen debut around 1998 in a film directed by Saminu Mohammed Mahmud.

She appeared in a number films such as Sarauniya Amina, Gwaska and Maina, produced by her company, Ma’inta Enterprises Limited.

Ms Maina was one of the most popular faces in Kannywood. She was famous for her roles in such epic Hausa movies as ‘Queen Amina’ and ‘Bayajida’.

The Biu, Borno State-born star had also delved into movie production and directing after spending close to 20 years in the entertainment industry.

The Kannywood actress, who had acted in no less than 50 movies.

Hauwa Maina appeared in a number of Nollywood movies after attaining superstar status in Kannywood. One of her iconic roles was as Queen Amina of Zazzau. She has won awards including best actress SIM awards 2010, best Afro-Nollywood Award, London (2007).

She is survived by a daughter Maryam Bukar Hassan, a famous poet and an Information Technology graduate from Radford University, UK.

In one of her interviews with Ms Maina spoke on how she got into the entertainment industry after having acquired a National Diploma in Management from Kaduna State Polytechnic.

She was at the moment combining a freelance job with Liberty Radio with acting, producing and directing movies.

“Interest in the art is what lured me in. As a student, a family friend, Salisu Salinga, came visiting and then said he had to go to a location. I asked what ‘location’ meant and he said it was the site for shooting films. I didn’t know he was a producer.

“I said, ‘wow, I would have loved to be an actress, but I don’t think I can.’ He said I could. But I refused. At the time, I was envisioning in my mind how my posters would be scattered on the streets and how many messages I would be able to pass across to people through this medium.

“We laughed and he left. A few moments later, he came back in a rush and asked if I was serious and that if I was, he would like to give me a trial.

“Then I got nervous as it seemed like it was soon going to be a reality and began to drag my feet. I told him I would first come to watch them shoot.  This I would say was the beginning in 1999.”

A US based-Ghanaian Female gospel musician Esaaba Haizel is advising young girls to date three to five men in order to assess them before selecting one to marry.

She said it would be of great help for the girls to date multiple men at the same time without getting sexually involved because they would be able to choose the right one best for them.

Speaking to Austine Woode on Abusua Entertainment, she indicated that dating one man is very risky because the man might break the woman’s heart by jilting her after heavily investing in the relationship.

‘…I advised young girls on Facebook wall to have three to five men at the same time without having any sexual intercourse with them, you just have to be firm not to sleep with them, having multiple partners will help you to study them, then you let the rest go, by choosing just one. The Facebook Preacher explained that this is an advise most pastors cannot give to their female church members who are ripe for marriage.

Esaba stated that most men are of the notion that women population is higher than men and thus tread on this to dump women.

‘I’m a Christian, is there something wrong with my advise to young ladies who aspire to marry?, its a good advice your pastor cannot give you,’ she quizzed.

She said most women have been neglected by men after wasting their time, committing their time to the relationship.

Diamond Estate, Sangotedo, Ajah, Lagos, was in turmoil on Thursday after a lawyer, Udeme Odibi, allegedly stabbed her husband, Otike Odibi, to death. What happened?

The suspect was also said to have cut off the private parts of her husband, who was also a lawyer, and stabbed herself.

Punch gathered that 47-year-old Udeme had threatened to stab her husband on Wednesday over a disagreement that ensued between them.

The 50-year-old was said to have informed a neighbour and his relatives about the threat on the telephone before he went to bed.

The woman allegedly made good her threat in the early hours of Thursday, ripping out the entrails of the victim with a knife.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Chike Oti, who confirmed the incident in a statement, said the couple had endured three years of marriage fraught with domestic violence.

He said the couple did not have any child together, although Otike had a daughter in his previous marriage.

The only child of the deceased (from his previous marriage) is currently schooling in the United Kingdom.

His marriage of 3 years didn’t produce any child.

Oti, a Superintendent of Police, stated that a distress call was put across to the Divisional Police Officer, Ogombo division, around 7.30am as regards the murder.

He said, “Based on the information, the DPO mobilised a team of detectives to the scene where they found the man lying on the bed in a pool of blood with his stomach ripped open, exposing his intestines. As if that was not enough, the killer severed his genitals and placed them on his right hand.

“However, before the arrival of the police, Mrs. Udeme, who had unsuccessfully attempted to commit suicide after allegedly killing her husband, was rushed to a hospital for treatment by neighbours.”

The PPRO said the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, directed detectives from the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, as well as forensic experts to the scene of the crime for investigation.

“An eyewitness account revealed that the couple, both of whom are lawyers, married three years ago after the deceased divorced his first wife. The deceased’s first marriage produced a beautiful daughter currently schooling in the United Kingdom. However, his second marriage is said to be without a child,” he added.

The police spokesperson stated further that
information from a neighbour showed that the deceased had called him (the neighbour) a few hours before he was murdered, complaining that the wife was threatening to kill him with a knife.

He said the neighbour, however, warned him to be careful.

“The deceased also called his mother and his younger sister complaining of threat to his life that night,” Oti added.

He said the CP advised couples to resolve their matrimonial disputes amicably rather than resort to violence.
