45-year-old Nigerian born British singer-songwriter, Ben Ofoedu, who has been married to his wife 56-year-old Vanessa Feltz for over 12 years, has revealed the secret of his marriage.

Ben Ofoedu who is famous for being the former lead singer of the duo Phats & Small, disclosed in an interview on Loose Women alongside his wife, that he has never seen his wife without make-up due to the fact that they share separate bedrooms, saying it’s another secret to their successful union.

“I wouldn’t know who she was without makeup,” he jokes, as the two of them appears on a British panel show, Loose Women.

Vanessa on her own part, argued that even if one wakes up with eyeliner messily smeared under the eyes in the morning, it is still better than a makeup-free face.

She says: “When I was a teenager, my sister and I discussed this and I think smudged eyeliner the day after is better than no makeup whatsoever.”

The radio presenter described her husband a “sensitive soul,” saying she believes that he might get a shock if he saw her without any makeup on.

“I think he’s a sensitive soul; he’s quite young and I think he’d have a shock,” she says of her 45-year-old husband.

Ben agrees and even confesses that Vanessa wore bright red lipstick while on a swimming date.

He teases: “I wouldn’t know who she was without makeup;” before adding: “I didn’t notice until like two years in that she always wore makeup, and then I was in a swimming pool and she was wearing bright red lipstick. I thought it was a bit weird.”

Ben notes, “It has kept it fresh and sexy in a mysterious kind of way. Twelve years later it still works.”

Ben Ofoedu was born in Nigeria, but moved to the UK with his family when he was two years-old and grew up in Newbury Park, Essex with his two sisters and three brothers. In 1993 he joined the band Benz and later became the lead singer of Phats & Small in 1999.

In 2000 he released a solo single Your Love and in 2001 he joined the band REDhill with former boyzone member Shayne Lynch. With the band, Four Story he took part in the UK Eurovision selection contest Making Your Mind Up with the song Hand On Your Heart.

They placed fifth and lost out to Javine who represented the country at Eurovision in Kiev, Ukraine with the song Touch My Fire.

Earlier reported, another container fell off the bridge at Ojuelegba, Surulere this evening. At the moment, two dead bodies have been retrieved and many more are still trapped as rescue workers continue to dig through the rubble.

Canada has become the first G7 country to completely legalize recreational weed.

Well here’s some good news for those of you living North of the border. It was just announced on Tuesday that Canada has legalized recreational marijuana use after the country’s two legislative chambers approved the Cannabis Act.

According to reports, the bill will allow anyone over the age of 18 to possess no more than 30 grams of marijuana. It also allows adults to sell cannabis as well as grow up to four plants in their home, making Canada the second country in the world after Uruguay to legalize recreational marijuana use, and the first G7 nation to do so.

“We’ve just witnessed a historic vote for Canada. The end of 90 years of prohibition. Transformative social policy, I think. A brave move on the part of the government,” the bill’s sponsor Sen. Tony Dean told the CBC. “Now we can start to tackle some of the harms of cannabis. We can start to be proactive in public education. We’ll see the end of criminalization and we can start addressing Canada’s $7 billion illegal market. These are good things for Canada.”

It’s reported that Canada will go legal within 8-12 weeks allowing provinces, municipalities, law enforcement, and other entities to prepare for the new law.

Now the real question remains when will the United States follow in suit? Hopefully sooner than later now.

The Federal Government has concluded plans to train qualified candidates on rail engineering in China for five years.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, S. Zakari, in a letter to the Minister of Trade, Investment and Industry, Okechukwu Enelamah, said the government is seeking for nomination of suitable candidates for training as railway engineer in China.

It would be recalled that local contractors have been excluded from $20 billion rail projects by the government, which triggered concerns from stakeholders.

There are a number of other rail projects, 98 per cent of which were awarded to Chinese firms. They include: Kano State rail, $1.85 billion; Lagos Blue Line light rail, $1.2 billion; Lagos monorail, $1billion; and Abuja light rail, $841.64 million. Ogun and Oyo states are also working on some rail projects.

Going by this offer, the candidates upon completion of course would be beneficial to the railway revolution projects being undertaken by the Federal Government.

They would be instrumental to repair and maintenance of railways in the country especially the Lagos-Ibadan modern gauge, which the government is keen on completing by December this year.

The candidates are to undergo a five-year Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Railway Engineering training who must be within the ages of 17 to 20 years.

Interview for the candidates is expected to be conducted from tomorrow till Saturday 23 by 9am prompt at the CCECC Nigeria Limited headquarters along airport road, Abuja.

The candidates according to the letter, on return from the course are bonded and expected to report and work under the instructions of the Ministry of Transportation.

Experts had earlier insisted that Nigerians have the capacity to handle key aspects of the projects, especially laying of tracks, survey and design.

They also expressed the fear that Nigeria would end up becoming a dumping ground for rail contractors engaged just to provide infrastructure without adequate manpower to operate and maintain it.

The news emanating from Stamford said that Chelsea have reportedly agreed compensation terms with manager Antonio Conte and his backroom staff as they close in on a new boss.

It states that the Blues are on the verge to appoint Maurizio Sarri as their new coach in less than 24hours from now after reaching a £9.5million agreement to terminate the contracts of Conte and his coaches.

Maurizio Sarri is determined to get to work immediately, as the Blues step up their interest in summer transfer targets, although one of his first task at Stamford Bridge will be trying to stop top stars like Eden Harzard, Thibout Courtois and star midfielder N’Golo Kante to leave.

According to a 2016 survey by the World Economic Forum (WEF), Lagos is the fastest growing city in the world.

The report also states that 85 migrants from other states enter into Lagos state every hour.

In other words, the population growth of Lagos metropolis is much faster than that of London and New York with a rate of 9 and 10 persons per hour respectively.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), in Nigeria, over 80 million Nigerians move around using public transportation.

In Lagos alone, even without standard facilities, at least 12 million persons use public transportation every day. This translates to 15% of Nigerians, who have no other option than to commute using public transportation.

Sadly, Lagos has a terrific deficit in mass transit infrastructure.

And then comes Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

In early 2017, the Ambode-led administration inaugurated the Bus Reform Initiative (BRI).

The idea behind the BRI is to seek to find a lasting solution to the legendary transport challenge that Lagos state is notorious for. The project also seeks to formalize the state’s transport sector. All these were intended to usher in a new era in the state’s integrated transport management system.

As part of the BRI project, at least 13 new bus terminals and transport interchanges were planned for Lagos state. They include the Ikeja Bus Terminal along with other major terminals that are currently under construction in Agege, Ojota, Berger, Oshodi and Yaba.

In addition to these, 300 new bus stops and three bus depots are currently being constructed.

And things get even more interesting.

There is a plan by Gov. Ambode to inject at least 5000 new BRT buses on different routes in Lagos before the end of 2018. This is part of the grand plan to phase out the regime of the infamous danfos from the streets of Lagos.

No doubt, all of these put together are fantastic ideas.

However, a pertinent question that begs for answer is this: will the new bus terminals, bus stops and the planned introduction of the 5000 new BRT buses ease Lagos of its legendary transport challenge?

Sadly, the realities on ground does not seem to agree with that plan.

A visit to most BRT bus stops, especially during rush hours, will prove that a reasonable solution is not in sight. At such times, a huge number of commuters are seen at these bus stops spending an inordinate length of time waiting for the arrival of BRT buses.

Note that the delay in the arrival of BRT buses is not due to the lack of the BRT buses. Instead, the delay in their arrival is because the buses are stuck in traffic somewhere.

In all of these, also note that, new roads have not been built in Lagos state. Instead, so many of the old, inadequate and extremely busy roads have been segmented in order to accommodate the dedicated BRT lanes, thus, further reducing the road available to other motorists.

Indeed, the construction of new bus terminals, bus stops and the planned introduction of 5000 new BRT buses are all brilliant ideas.

However, except there is an equally aggressive plan to diversify into other means of transportation – e.g. waterways, metro lines, etc. – Lagos state might just be going round in circles.

Fans of Big Brother Naija 2018 ex housemate, Princess have questioned her over the sudden growth she experienced on her hips.

The reality TV star had debuted the new look on her Instagram yesterday and just as her fans had known her for not possessing much at that region, they began to ask her questions.

Princess who had taken some few weeks out of the spotlight, showed off visibly larger hips which many attribute to surgery.

If you recollect, while she was on the Big Brother Naija house, she always made it clear she would love to work on her body. It all looks like Princess has done the necessary body works and she seems to look gorgeous in her new shape.

But just as expected of most Nigerians on social media, they surely came for her.

However, some of her true fans came to her defence and warned other people to mind their businesses as it is her body and she has every right to do whatever pleases her to it.

In a very bizarre incident, a Toyota Camry crashed it’s rear through a house fence at Lawanson in Surulere.

The crash which damaged the fence also affected an electric power pole stationed to close by.

The Lagos Response Unit (LRU) later came in to salvage the situation.

Early in my marriage, whenever I am offended by my husband, I will let him know and will expect an apology not just “sorry” but a genuine apology admitting that he has done wrong and he is sorry for doing that. God help him if he doesn’t agree that he has wronged me, and refuses to apologise! Argh! Double trouble! I will begin to act in ways that show that I don’t care, the things I know mean respect to him, I will intentionally not do. I will say to myself “after all, respect begets respect”, “he hasn’t earned my respect”, “he doesn’t deserve my respect” etc. Before I knew it, things degenerated from bad to worse as he would respond by withholding his love and affection because he felt disrespected and I continued behaving disrespectfully because I felt unloved by him. …And the crazy cycle continued! It usually took one of us yielding to the Holy Spirit to break the cycle. Honestly, looking back now, I can’t even remember many of the reasons for those fights 

To respect one’s husband means to hold him in high regard, to honour him, to speak highly of him, to praise him. Respect means different things to different men, so it is important to ask your husband what respect means to him and how he would love to be respected by you. It goes beyond kneeling or saying “Sir”, because you might do all of those and he still doesn’t feel respected by you. For some men, just your act of obedience to what they say shows you respect.

The world we live in today is such that many wives like to battle it out with their husbands and show that they also deserve to be respected. Yes, you deserve to be respected by him, but there is a way to go about it. A wrong attitude may appear to earn you a win outside marriage but not in marriage! God’s word which has not changed remains the standard not what anyone says. In Eph 5:33b “The wife MUST respect her husband” (NLT). “MUST” there doesn’t give conditions for respect. In other words, even when you are unhappy with him, you still respect him! Why? Because God said it! Why? Because he is your HEAD! Why? Because he is your lord! Why? Because it is one major NEED for him! Why? Because this is what true love means to him!

Little wonder why some husbands are attracted to their maids even when her beauty is nowhere compared to the beauty of the madam of the house! The reason is not farfetched; she is super respectful to him and easily meets that need his beloved wife is having difficulty in meeting because she wants to “show him”. I’m surprised when I see how some women worship their pastors but find it so hard to give their husbands even half of that worship, that niceness, that respect, that honour; If only they would accord their husbands similar honour, their marriage will be sweeter. Wives, your husband has more authority over you than your pastor!!! Yes! Your covenant is with your husband and not your pastor!

Single ladies; do not marry a man you know you cannot respect! That is the beginning of the end of the marriage! Once you say “I do” you are saying you allow him to be your head and that means he has authority over you. Wives, do not speak ill of your husband to anyone, when you do, you speak ill of yourself indirectly because you are one!

What if you have a husband who you think does not deserve any respect from you because of his annoying behaviour? Seek Godly counsel; two wrongs do not make a right. Look for one thing to praise him for and you watch how things take a positive turn.

This post does not in any way give husbands the liberty to ill-treat their wives and command respect from them. The Bible enjoins you to love her and handle her delicately not harshly.
My husband doesn’t need to work hard to earn my respect, he has my respect. He deserves my respect, he is the most amazing man on the planet and I will sing his praises irrespective of his weaknesses.

Break the crazy cycle in your marriage today and choose to sing your husband’s praises anyway! Ask him what respect means to him. Begin to respect him the way he desires to be respected by you and not the way you think he should be respected! Got it? The results will amaze you! God bless you and yours!

Edison met the young man at his company’s party in New York and interviewed him about the car. He was impressed!

An unnamed man in a Facebook chat made several attempts to see the n*des of a lady who kept playing him. In the screenshots made available, the lady was going to the bathroom to take her bath as she chatted the man up.

He was quick to demand for a photo of her in her towel which she did. He later pushed further to see what was under the towel. The girl kept making a fool of him by changing the towels into different colours and uploading for him to see to his frustration.

Over 20 people have been reportedly killed with many others still missing in Kitwe, Zambia after the infamous black mountain collapsed at about 09:50 am this morning.

According to Zambian Accurate, the mountain is said to have started collapsing yesterday and today it collapsed completely during mining activities. Many youths are still trapped under part of the mountain.

Police and other rescuing teams are currently at the scene.

An American lady known as Tanisha a.k.a Tee Burr Isibor – has left her friends in sorrow following her untimely demise. According to an online report, the lady visited Edo state in Nigeria four years ago with plans of making an investment.

According to philanthropist and social activist, Amb Dion Osagie who brought her to Benin city, Edo state capital, the lady who later abandoned him – got pregnant during her visit before returning back to the US.

The lady has now passed on as her friends have taken to their Facebook accounts to mourn her.

I met Tanisha who is an American in Austin Texas. She was very passionate about Nigeria and wanted to us invest together in hair making factory which was a great idea.

I brought her to Benin City 4 years ago where we had a plan in creating this factory in Edo to create jobs. We felt that the human hair business was a billion dollar business and we could tap into the market.

We visited the former SSG professor Julius Ihonvbere who also lived and worked in Austin Texas before moving to Nigeria to share some of this ideas with him. Off course politicians never take investors seriously. He didn’t give us the link we needed. Visited Elizabeth Ativie, Madams Ronke and others movers & shakers.

I took her to ITV and other media platform for interviews. Everything was going successful until i introduced her to shady politicians like Eseohe Adams who was a former executive director to Adams Oshomole and the GANI family who was an Aide to Oshomole.

They confused her and labeled me as a bad guy who do not have the capacity to invest but scam her and killed her dreams, before I knew it, my friend Tee will not tell me her whereabouts anymore. She will ride in conveys with the GANI’s to Auchi for political occasions and other places.

Sadly at the end, she got pregnant here in Nigeria and I am very sure to one of the Edo politicians and finally moved back to the US. Today she is dead. Truly, she is a great person.

His friends didn’t want her taking any part in mourning him at the vigil that they set up. Geneva claimed in an Instagram post on June 19 things got nasty towards her less than 30 minutes after she arrived. See below!

The Muhammadu Buhari Administration has issued a total of 5 Executive Orders since it assumed office.

1. Executive Order (EO1) on the Promotion of Transparency and Efficiency in the Business Environment:

It is the policy of the Federal Government to create an enabling environment for businesses and entrench measures and strategies aimed at promoting transparency and efficiency. President Muhammadu Buhari constituted the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) to coordinate the implementation of this policy.

2. Executive Order EO2 on Budgets:

All Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) shall, on or before the end May every year, prepare and submit to the Minister of Finance, and the Minister of Budget and National Planning, their schedule of revenue and expenditure estimates for the next three financial years.

3. Executive Order (EO3) on Support for Local Content in Public Procurement by the Federal Government:

All MDAs shall grant preference to local manufacturers of goods and service providers in their procurement of goods and services. Any document issued by any MDA for the solicitation of offers, bids, proposals or quotations for the supply or provision of goods and services shall expressly indicate this preference.

4. Executive Order (EO4) on the Establishment of the Voluntary Assets and Income Declaration Scheme (VAIDS):

The Constitution imposes a duty on every citizen to declare his/her income fully and honestly to appropriate and lawful agencies and pay taxes promptly. Every taxable person is under obligation to voluntarily declare his/her income from all sources within and outside Nigeria by filing annual tax returns, computing same and paying the tax due to the tax authority.

5. Executive Order (E05) on Planning and Execution of Projects, Promotion of Nigerian Content in Contracts and Science, Engineering and Technology:

This Order will drive national competitiveness, productivity and economic activities in all sectors.

Personal Life

Growing up, Ayala’s mother wasn’t interested in kids. Her father was busy with others. At the age of four Ayala moved in with her grandmother in Miami, where she cycled through grade schools to escape bullying​. At twelve, she returned to the home of her mother. ​

When Ayala was sixteen years old her mother stopped paying for the electricity, then water, and ordered Ayala to move out. Her mother was pregnant, moved in with her boyfriend, and left Ayala behind.

Ayala home-hopped and stayed with neighbors, occasionally staying at a motel her uncle owns in Hollywood, Florida​, with her grandmother, and in parks when necessary. She worked overtime at a Pizza Hut​ to pay for food and incidentals. 

Relationship with XXXTentacion

Ayala first met Onfroy in November 2014. In an interview with Miami New Times​, she details her relationship and the alleged domestic abuse she suffered.

A GoFundMe​ campaign started by Ayala to help raise funds for her surgery to recover from the injuries she sustained has raised over $30,000, exceeding the initial $25,000 goal.

The Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife has announced the sacking of Professor Richard Akindele for allegedly demanding sex from Monica Osagie to upgrade her mark.

The VC announced the sack at a press conference in Ife on Wednesday.

He said the Governing Council sacked the lecturer having found him guilty of all the charges against him.
